Fellow Longhorns and McCombs Graduates,

The McCombs School of Business has approximately 325 members among its ranks that are residents of the greater Portland area. In order to facilitate a more open flow of communication between you and your Longhorn/McCombs neighbors in Portland, I would like to issue a general call for volunteers to help bolster the Portland McCombs Alumni Network. Volunteers will be asked to facilitate the organization of events that bring Portland McCombs graduates together. We are currently looking for volunteers to assist with the following activities: 

• Two volunteers to coordinate biannual local speaker series.
• One volunteer to coordinate the Family Picnic in Lake Oswego--manage the logistics, RSVPs, do the shopping/catering and set up/break down the event.
• Four volunteers to coordinate “no-host” happy hours. Our intent is to host one event every four months. Be backup in case someone has to travel on their month.
• One volunteer to be co-president--coordinate all activities.
• One social outreach/communication coordinator.

If you know of additional McCombs graduates in the Portland area that did not receive this email, I would greatly appreciate you forwarding this email along to them, as well.
